This was not a one-off project out of curiosity. I collected the YouTube data for n8n community meetups, turned it into a dashboard, and presented it to the community team. They told me it was very helpful. They had not thought to correlate creator activity this way, and it gave them a practical list of people to contact.

Why I made this

A developer-tool community extends beyond the people already present in official channels. Creators may be teaching, demonstrating, and influencing the brand on YouTube without being visible to the community team.

For the meetups, that signal was spread across videos, channels, engagement, and time. The team needed it in one place so they could see who was already teaching n8n and actually reach them.

What I did

I collected the YouTube data, organized it into a dashboard, and presented it at n8n community meetups. The demo is about the questions the team could now answer, not collection for its own sake.

After I showed it, they used it to find creators already teaching n8n and to start contacting people. The point was a working list, not a pile of metrics.

A note on the archive

This dashboard is a point-in-time view from May 2026. Creator activity, platform data, and n8n’s community have continued to change, so don’t read it as a current ranking.

What still holds up is the working relationship: bring the data to the people running the community, let them see it, and help them act on it.
